Pre-Order Local Turkeys, Pies, and Other Holiday Goodies!

We are excited to announce that this year you will be able to pre-order your locally raised/baked/loved Thanksgiving turkeys, pies and other goodies and pick them up at our Holiday Farmers Market!

It works like this: you contact the vendors directly with your order by Saturday November 19th.  You can then pick them up between 2 and 6 p.m. at our indoor Holiday Farmers Market on Tuesday November 22nd at the Boys and Girls Club (7119 SE Milwaukie Ave).  Easy!  And now some details about the goods:

Our friends at Sweet Home Farms have convinced their neighbors, Rain Shadow El Rancho, to part with some of their free-range turkeys for our market-goers.  These turkeys are raised naturally just 70 miles south of Portland, with no hormones, antibiotics or chemicals of any kind.  Very special and very limited!  $5.75/pound.  Contact Mike at sweethomefarms@centurytel.net or (541) 367-0687.

Russell’s Bread has continued to impress us all season long, and their delicious offerings for your Thanksgiving table are no exception.  Their pre-order items are below, and you can contact Russell himself at russellsbread@gmail.com:

9-inch fruit pies (your choice of whole wheat crusts or traditional flaky pie crust);  $17.50/pie

- Apple, Mincemeat (vegetarian), and Pumpkin

Rolls (frozen, par-baked to hold until Thursday, 6 per bag); $4/bag of 6

- Multigrain, French, and Challah

Fresh Bread Loaves (can be cubed for stuffing on request); $4.50

For those who are gluten-free (and even for those that aren’t!) Paobread is taking pre-orders for gluten-free pies.  They will have classic pie flavors, including: maple pumpkin, pecan, apple crumb, and pear and cranberry.  Priced from $18 a pie.  Contact Jewelie at orders@paobread.com to learn more.
