September 2006

Tomorrow, September 27th, is closing day of the Moreland Farmers Market
2006 season. We hope to see you all there. Let your favorite vendor know how you felt about the market this year and stop by the information booth to give us your thoughts as well. Here are some highlights of tomorrow’s market:

Squirrel Heights will be back with their Autumnal lantern plants, as well as their unusual assortment of garden wonders. Stop by to chat with Betty and Dave.

Wild Oregon is back this week again with freshly caught chinook salmon and tuna.

Come enjoy the sounds of Gerardo Calderon and Grupo Condor; then at 5:30 enjoy the energy of the Sellwood Middle School Marimba Band.

Who Killed the Electric Car? Stop by our community table this week where we have a representative of the OEVA (Oregon Electric Vehicle
Association)to answer questions about electric cars.

Thanks to all of you who have supported the Moreland Farmers Market. We
look forward to another great season in 2007. Stay tuned by checking in
with the website or emailing info@morelandfarmersmarket.org. It’s been
fun.

Everyone’s favorite market music is back this week.  Tapas Musica: a
little bit gypsy, a little bit Klezmer.

Black Sheep Creamery is bringing their long awaited Black Sheep Tomme.
Aged 5 months it has a smooth feel and taste.  ”The longer you pay
attention to its taste, the more taste you’ll discover.”

We are excited to have a neighborhood farm this week: Tenino Farms. Stop
by and welcome them into the market.

Thomas Medlin is back to sharpen your knives and garden tools.  Remember:
sharp knives are safe knives!

Mark your calendars: our last market of the season is September 27th.
Only 3 markets left in September: Sept 13, 20 and 27.

Sept. 6, Fresh Catch! Wild Oregon returns to market with fresh Chinook
salmon and tuna.
