To use a debit card, please go to the Market Information Booth to swipe your debit card in exchange for tokens in $5 increments. Pay for your purchases with the tokens. Vendors will give you change, and all vendors accept the tokens. There is a one-time fee for using a debit card.
To use your SNAP cards, please go to the Market Information Booth to swipe your card in exchange for $1 tokens. Vendors do not provide change. If needed, the market will credit your SNAP account for the change.
Moreland Farmers Market has a SNAP matching program. Get $5 worth of tokens with the first $5 you withdraw from your SNAP card to spend at the market. Just visit the Information Booth on market day to take advantage of this great offer. There is no fee to transfer your SNAP benefits to market tokens, but those tokens must only be used to buy items eligible for the SNAP program. FDNP checks can be spent only with authorized farmers who sell their own produce at the farmers market. The funds specifically designated for locally-produced fresh, unprocessed fruit and vegetables. The FDNP checks are good from June 1st through October 31st of the current year. You can find out more information at Oregon’s Farm Direct Nutrition Program.
Project Linkage provides rides to and from the market free of charge for seniors and people with disabilities. They supply lift-equipped vans and helpful drivers. Thanks to a Bob’s Red Mill for their generous grant to fund this program.
