Customer parking is available on-site in the Wells Fargo parking lot.

We have a lot of exciting changes for the 2023 season! We’ve been working hard to make sure our market evolves with our neighborhood and can continue to be a community gathering place.

Day / hours: Saturdays from 10am - 2pm. May 13th - October 28th

New location: SE Claybourne & SE Milwaukie

  • You’ve probably noticed that our neighborhood (and Portland) has been growing. Our long-time location on SE Bybee Street was developed and the lot adjacent that was our home since 2020 is also slated for development making our search for a new location a necessity. Our new location on SE Claybourne Street is in the heart of a thriving commercial district and easily accessed by public transportation. Wells Fargo graciously has offered the use of their parking lot for customer & vendor parking during market hours.

  • The number of empty lots with access to parking for vendors and customers is dwindling. During the pandemic, PBOT made it easier for community groups and businesses to use neighborhood streets.

  • As we worked to secure a new location, our options were narrowed if we were to also keep with a mid-week market. This led us to be open to day/time changes alongside location changes so that we could carry on the market within the community.

Browsing a weekend farmers market is a favorite activity of many Portlanders! In our annual customer survey, interest in a weekend market is always raised.

As our neighborhood has grown in both size and popularity, we felt confident that we had the ability to support a Saturday market.

  • Why, yes - a little. Since Sellwood is such a common identifier for the neighborhood, we thought it belonged in our name. However, we wanted to keep Moreland which has been such a part of our history.

Payments & Programs

Debit Cards

To use a debit card, please go to the Market Information Booth located in the center of the market to swipe your debit card in exchange for tokens in $5 increments.

The tokens work like cash with all vendors and as you pay for you purchases with tokens you’ll receive any change owed in cash. Pay for your purchases with the tokens. There is a one-time fee for using a debit card.

EBT/SNAP (Oregon Trail Card)

To use your SNAP cards, please go to the Market Information Booth located in the center of the market to swipe your card in exchange for $1 SNAP tokens. Vendors do not provide change. If needed, the market will credit your SNAP account for the change.

Moreland Farmers Market has a SNAP matching program. [as of mid season 2021] We’ll match up to $20 for the first $20 you withdraw from your SNAP card. The match tokens can be used on fresh fruit and veggies.  Just visit the Information Booth on market day to take advantage of this great offer. There is no fee to transfer your SNAP benefits to market tokens, but those tokens must only be used to buy items eligible for the SNAP program.

Power of Produce Kids’ Program

The Power of Produce Club will kick off at MFM this season.

The club is open to children ages up to 12 and the primary focuses are to expand children’s pallets, teach them about the importance of eating a healthy, well-balanced diet and creating a connection to where their food is physically produced. The POP club booth will have a variety of activities available throughout the market season, and each time a child visits the booth they will receive $2 in market tokens to spend on fresh veggies and fruit.
